Our comprehensive understanding of the body’s interconnected fascial network allows us to identify and address restrictions that may be contributing to your pain or limited movement, even in areas distant from your primary symptoms.

Myofascial release therapy works by targeting restricted connective tissue to enhance mobility and promote healing. This gentle yet powerful approach creates lasting changes in the body’s fascial system, helping to break up adhesions and restore optimal tissue function.

Where Stress Melts Away

What Is Myofascial Release?

A myofascial release massage is a therapy that treats skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation. This therapy-type also aids in stimulating the stretch reflex in the muscles and fascia.

Fascia is a thin, tough, elastic-type of connective tissue that covers all the organs within the human body, working to support and protect every muscle, as well as every fiber within each muscle. When these fibers are injured, they become short and tight. This is a common occurrence and is most likely the result of disease, overuse, trauma, infectious agents, or inactivity. These can cause pain, muscle tension, and corresponding diminished blood flow.

A myofascial release massage utilizes a combination of massage techniques and stretching that is specially designed to soothe those with soft-tissue ailments.

Therapeutic Tension Release

Myofascial Release Benefits

Myofascial release therapy offers more than traditional massage—it provides powerful therapeutic benefits through specialized hands-on techniques. This advanced practice creates targeted healing effects that release restricted fascia, promoting natural recovery and whole-body wellness.

Freedom From Restriction

Specialized techniques gently target and release restricted fascia layers, helping to break up adhesions and restore natural tissue mobility effectively.

Natural Pain Relief

The precise pressure and release methods improve blood flow throughout treated areas, bringing oxygen-rich blood to tissues and supporting natural healing processes.

Lasting Mobility

Strategic techniques help reduce chronic pain and muscle tension, offering relief for persistent discomfort and restricted movement.

Injury Recovery

Gentle sustained pressure helps release fascial restrictions, improving flexibility and range of motion after injury or chronic tension.

Tension Release

The targeted approach helps release both physical and emotional tension stored in the fascial system, promoting overall relaxation.

Better Posture

By releasing fascial restrictions, this therapy helps restore proper alignment and reduce compensatory patterns.

The Art of Gentle Healing

What To Expect Out Of Myofascial Release

Our myofascial release massage is a very gentle and relaxing form of treatment that is used to equalize muscle tension throughout the body. Our massage professionals will start by applying a slight amount of pressure or traction to the restricted areas of the body. This localized pressure is held for about five minutes, where you can expect to feel the tissue begin to soften.

As this softening continues, we will slowly increase the amount of pressure and stretch applied. This time duration is a crucial component to fully releasing the deep layers of the fascial system and, in turn, allowing the body to begin the healing process.

Yes, myofascial release is a specialized technique that differs from traditional massage. While regular massage typically focuses on muscles, myofascial release works specifically on the fascia – the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and joints throughout your body.

Our therapists use sustained, gentle pressure to release restrictions in this tissue, often holding positions for several minutes to allow the fascia to elongate naturally.

This slower, more focused approach can provide long-lasting relief from chronic pain and restricted movement in ways that traditional massage may not address.
